Abington of Glenview – Weekly Update – 10.2.20
(This message was sent via a texting app on 10.2.20)
Hello Abington Family Members,
Indoor visits have started and overall are going well. Please bear with us as we adapt to these new regulations with indoor visitation. We want to let everyone know that if and only if there is a positive case of covid-19 in the facility we will have to temporarily suspend all indoor visitation for a period of time. This is exactly why we want to ensure that everyone is following the guidelines, maintain six-foot distancing during your visit and wearing your masks. As always, if there are any other updates, we will be in communication with you. We thank you for your kindness and understanding. We hope you are doing well.
Thank you,
Abington Administration

Latest Updates of Covid 19

May 8, 2020

Dear Family Members, As you are aware, our facility has been transparent during the entirety of this pandemic situation and we will continue to do so. The Abington of Glenview has been notified that an employee, who has not been in our facility since April 11th, has tested positive for Covid-19 on April 22nd. To be clear, this employee has not been in at the Abington since April 11th, and did not provide any direct care to any of the patients. As a precaution, we have tested a plethora of our residents and are happy to announce that 24 out of 24 tests came back in the past two days and 24 tests are negative. We are continuing to monitor all residents and all employees, as we have been and are taking extra precautions regarding personal protective equipment to stop this in its tracks as best we can. Luckily, we have been very strict in our protocols since the beginning and that is how we have held back having any positive cases in our facility. Obviously, we are taking this very seriously and want to reassure you that our continued diligence will not waver. We thank you for your continued support and trust during these trying times.
The Abington of Glenview Administration
